Kazeem Abiodun Raimi is a senior commercial executive with over 24 years of experience across upstream oil and gas, midstream infrastructure, and financial markets. He is the Executive Director, Commercial at Platform Petroleum Limited, where he is responsible for strategy, corporate planning, capital allocation, commercial negotiations, financial operations, and optimisation of the Group’s capital structure.
Prior to joining Platform Petroleum in 2021, Mr. Raimi held senior leadership roles at Seplat Energy Plc, most recently as General Manager, Commercial, Corporate Planning, and Treasury Operations. In this role, he advised the CEO and Board on major investment decisions, acquisitions, capital raising, and portfolio optimisation. He currently represents Platform Petroleum Limited as a non-executive director on the Boards of Seplat Energy Plc and PNG Gas Limited.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Raimi served as Lead Petroleum Economist and Commercial Advisor at Addax Petroleum, with assignments in Nigeria and Switzerland. He also held finance and treasury roles at Cadbury Nigeria Plc and Citibank Nigeria Limited. He has deep expertise in project economics, valuation, fiscal analysis, and risk management across Nigeria, Gabon, Iraq, and Cameroon, and regularly interfaces with regulators, lenders, joint venture partners, offtakers, and infrastructure operators.
Mr. Raimi holds a First Class BSc in Economics from the University of Ibadan and an MSc in Oil and Gas Economics from the University of Dundee. He has also completed executive education, including the Certificate of Management Excellence at Harvard Business School, and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on several industry boards.
